I became a NURSE to make a difference, just as you became a PROFESSIONAL to do the same.
Being a nurse involves being available to help others and their loved ones in their time of need. Yet the long shifts, hectic schedules, and nonexistent breaks have become an expectation in the traditional settings of the nursing professional. Alternating weekends and holidays, working short staffed, you name it.... I've experienced it!
Yet still... I love my profession! Just as I'm sure you love yours, despite the negative aspects. Most people recognize the hard work you do on a daily basis and the sacrifices you make, whether it's taking care of others or making an impact in another way.
In taking care of others, or doing your job exceptionally well, you often forget about yourself… your family, your friends, your passions and those other goals you’ve had.
You can LOVE being a professional, take care of yourself AND pursue your other passions at the same time. You don’t have to wait for the right moment… Because it really never comes, right?
You just have to make the commitment to get started. You have to commit to YOU. Take baby steps, give yourself time to grow, credit yourself for trying, and watch your life balance out!
And I would love to help you do that.
I’m Kerisha a.k.a Kerri, The Balanced Nurse. I'm a Nurse Consultant that can help guide you towards a life full of happiness, health and balance. I have developed strategies (some including true sacrifices) to be able to feel comfortable and balanced in the professional, family and social aspects of my life. I'm far from perfect, yet I realized that my life was too precious to hate my routine and put all of my other dreams and goals on hold. So I did something about it… And you can, too!
If you’re a young professional who’s ready to escape burnout, imbalance, and need guidance on following your passions, whether that be in your career or your personal life, stick around. We’ll find the way to get there, together.
I hope that you are able to be motivated by my many stories, journeys, and tips. Take what you can use, leave what you don't need, as long as you continue your journey in achieving overall BALANCE.... I'm glad to have been able to contribute to it.
